These lithographs were created during Ayanah's International Artist Residency at the Auckland Print Studio (APS) in New Zealand. 26 prints were executed during a 3-week period with John Pusateri, founder and director of APS. Using 4 large litho stones, abstract forms were created and printed in a range of layered colours. Photo-plates were employed to introduce hand drawn text referencing a 1980’s advertisement in Ebony magazine. The original ad read, “Black News Is Good News.”
